Review of The Last Station (2009) by Lilianetty L — 02 Oct 2010
Amazing story-telling and cast, and Im still wondering if his the same Tolstoy named on Cherdiakov stories written by Neil Simon for The Good Doctor :(.
Plot: This is based on the russian life of Leo Tolstoy and his wife Sofya. Is a story about fame, stories she wants, but also Chertkov wants too. Is a fight for material things, and only one will win it at the end. Will Sofya get the respect she deserves? Will Valentin help her or Tolstoy or Vladimir? How this will end? So many questions and I cannot spoil a thing :).
Acting: I cannot go one by one, because all of them were BLOODY BRILLIANT, INSPIRING, STUNNING AND MARVELOUS! I must say, the role I felt that was the most brilliant of all, was Sofya (Helen Mirren). Helen did an awesome and stunning job. Her character was the most brilliant of all characters in this story. But yeah, the cast was fenomenal and amazing. Some stars here.
Music: Inspiring, stunning, colorful, dramatic and intense. No more comments here, because then I will not end :).
To end this review (the film itself was brilliant and the costumes too), 4 stars of 5. I wish I could give it more stars or the half it needed for 5 stars full, but somehow, I wanted more of it :) Anyway, enjoy my review and PEACE TO ALL!
