Review of The Last Station (2009) by Sergio E — 30 Apr 2011
Nice film about Leo Tolstoy's struggle between his commitments to the movement and the relationship with his wife, brilliantly portraited by Helen Mirren. Not quite the period 'drama' I had expected, but very character driven and both Mirren and James McAvoy who plays Tolstoy's secretary, are very good.
