Review of The Last Starfighter (1984) by Trent C — 12 Nov 2007
A good film that just aches to be more than it is. Strives to be epic and far-reaching, but ultimately stays grounded. The earth scenes are actually the better parts. Nick Castle, who worked with John Carpenter on many of his films, directed this.
Probably better to watch as a kid.
