Review of The Last Starfighter (1984) by Amos T — 21 Mar 2008
Considering it was 1984, and this was the first movie with considerable (27 minutes) amounts of CGI, it deserves and extra gold star for it's pioneering spirit. because of what we are used to nowadays, the CGI looks dated and uninspiring.
but i'm sure it blew away a lot of minds at the time. the costumes were terrific though, something that movie studios fail to do anymore, opting to go with 'cheaper' CGI. oh, the movie itself is enjoyable too.
