Review of The Last Starfighter (1984) by Will C — 14 Apr 2010
A cutely charming gem that proves that you can still have big dreams even living in a trailer park. And no doubt took to new heights in filmic scatology, with copious references to diarrhea.
Films like Starfighter brings back memories of CGI when it was still a novelty and not the indispensible tool, now used to fix mistakes both intentional and not.
The title theme is my own guilty pleasure, and makes me long for the type of orchestration now only heard in the sci-fi films of old.
