Review of The Last Stand (2013) by Stefan N — 22 Dec 2013
This move basically consists of two plots: the cops chasing the bad guy, and the town of Arnold Schwarzenegger preparing for the bad guy. This movie would have been entertaining without the first plot.
Even though this movie is very cheesy there are some things to like in it. The humor is great except for the performance by Johnny Knoxville. Arnold is his good old generic but charismatic action hero.
Also, the direction is decent for the horrible plot. However, the tone is inconsistent and the movie is going to be forgotten over time. The first plot, as I mentioned, is boring and the overall story is unbelievable.
Overall, the movie is a combination of Need for Speed and a bad western.
