Review of The Last Stand (2013) by Trevor R — 03 Feb 2014
Schwarzenegger always possessed a kind of natural charm that he rarely gets credit for, and it's a quality well utilized in "The Last Stand." The straightforward story functions in such a way as to provide simple but compelling motivations for the characters involved; it's nothing fancy, and that's okay.
The supporting cast is well-utilize (especially when you consider how many women and POC are given prominence-- a rarity in American action cinema). It's worth seeing for the final 30 minutes alone.
