Review of The Last Sin Eater (2007) by Meredith W — 14 Jul 2007
Granted, the movie was not as good as the book, but I did enjoy it. (The scenery was beautiful.) Concerning acting, the kids were actually better than several of the adults, for the most part, that is.
I thoroughly enjoyed the sin eater's throbbing voice. You didn't see his face till the end, but you didn't need to, his voice was so beautifully instrumental in conveying his emotion, without being melodramatic.
..too much. Overall, the only real complaint I have, other than the horrible graphics and the pathetic attempt at acting a few of the cast members made, was that Cadi's "coming to Christ" was not really coming to Christ.
It was extremely watered down. Kudos for trying, but no kudos for not going all the way.
