Review of The Last Sin Eater (2007) by Sv G — 17 Jul 2007
Directed by Michael Landon Jr - absolutely has his father's style and flavor. Henry Thomas of ET all grow'd up and plays the mysterious stranger in the woods. A colony of Welsh immigrants in Appalacia in the 1850s struggling to let go of their old superstitions and Celtic way of life.
The movie IS a sermon (much like the movie & series Left Behind was) but, as sermons go it was enjoyable with an interesting storyline and good performances by all. The only one I didn't care for in this was Louise Fletcher who's Welsh accent had much to be desired.
