Review of The Last Samurai (2003) by Stcenterprise . — 13 Feb 2011
I was really surprised by the film. This was a very informative film. This was very educational as far as how early on the United States interacted with Japans culture such as technologically and militarily. I also did not realize that Samurais and Ninjas were different. I thought they were the same thing. I was extremely surprised how close the end story for the Samurai so closely related to Native Americans in the United States. It was a sad film. The Samurai was defiantly a much larger warrior than Native Americans. I felt like I also learned some cultural things from this film about Japanese culture. Tom Cruise role in this film I thought played his part vary well.
Itâ(TM)s sad though that the Emperor had to take the deaths of all the Samurais to realize what mistake he had caused.
