Review of The Last Samurai (2003) by James H — 09 May 2012
While the film has some cornier moments , as a whole it is better than a 65%. The only problem I have is while it is a different time frame and region it is basically the same story line as Dances With Wolves , and Avatar.
The Last Samurai did however stay focused on the Samurai way of honor until a white guy is the only one standing , LOL. Still this were solid performances from both Tom Cruise and Ken Wantanabe . If you don't have some sense of pride for the Samurai's way of life by the end of this film then well you are just a cold heartless prick.
