They did their homework.
Beautifully shot.
Kind of ridiculous -- Tom Cruise, the Last Samurai? Kind of offensive. I guess not really because it's the same basic story type as Dances With Wolves and Avatar. It's possibly my favorite type of story in fact.
Movie was well made = good.
