Review of The Last Samurai (2003) by Alexander Z — 24 Jun 2015
This movie is unfortunately patronizing to Japanese culture, but a decent epic. Tom Cruise does the best he can with the material and Watanabe is excellent as usual, but I have to imagine that Japanese audiences made excessive fun of the caricatures on display.
