Dances with Japanese? A over dramatized statement about a now passing culture done by a director who seems to have little working knowledge of Japan's historical self portrayal in film. The while through I felt like this would have been good to come out in the 50's when America knew next to nothing about traditional Japanese culture.
But released as it was now, it felt outdated and heavy handed.
