In the movie, the samurai are portrayed as dedicated, noble and brave men. Highly romanticized if you ask me.
Still, whether this was true or not in past history, the movie itself was very pleasing to watch. Hans Zimmer's music was captivating and the actors/actresses played their roles wonderfully. Many scenes in the movie are also beautiful to see, and the sword fights are nicely choreographed.
