The Last Samurai is a film that features good acting from Tom Cruise and Ken Watanabe. The battle scene in the beginning is the best shot action sequence in the film. Edward Zwick's direction is good, but what bothered me is the stunt choreography in the scene where Katsumoto' son dies, those scenes look childish and lack any epic feeling. WE don't quite expect to see Cruise in a film like this. The climax battle scene is well portrayed,but that too lack an epic touch.
