A perfect film about decay and loss; this film justly deserves all the praise. Bodganovich at the peak of his powers. Cloris Leachman's performance is achingly sad. The entire cast is excellent. Larry McMurtry wrote the screenplay and also wrote the screenplay for "Brokeback Mountain.
" Stunning American film.
