The movie is famous for lots of artsy stuff like cinematography and directing, but I didn't find it that engaging. A movie about love and loss in a sleepy 50's town is hardly entertaining. It was neat to see Cybill Shepherd, Jeff Bridges, and Randy Quaid in their early film roles however.
