Review of The Last Picture Show (1971) by Anne F — 22 Jul 2010
Words cannot describe how truly moving this film is. The Last Picture Show does a fascinating thing in that it captures a picture of a small town in Texas at a turning point in American history: the 1950s.
Innocence is lost and sex reigns supreme. The performances are uniformly outstanding, arguably most of all from Cloris Leachman, whose Oscar-winning turn here is nothing short of brilliant.
