They shouldve called this "fuckin in texas" cuz thats all anyone seems to do in this, everyone in every place was gettin/giving the business, but I think that was the point-to show what was usually not shown in small town period pieces at the time, the ugly truth of what really went on in these small towns, features a lot of good performances, johnson, leachman, and a very young jeffrey lebowski, very similar to bogdanovichs paper moon, one of my all time faves: b&w cinematography, small rural town, set in past.
