Review of The Last Picture Show (1971) by Stephen H — 05 Jun 2007

I saw this "coming-of-age" story when I had already passed this era, but the film captures the teenage angst in a serious fashion. The black and white photography evokes a documentary like perspective, capturing the empty life that this small town in Texas has, though it might as well be Anytown, USA.

All the actors are excellent, especially Cloris Leachman and Ben Johnson.
