I heard all the talk and hype behind it, praising it for breaking ground in terms of showing sex and nudity on screen...i yawned and continued to duck it. Well that was a HUGE mistake. This is a masterpiece, no way getting around that.
Every performance in this movie is bordering on outstanding. And Bogdanovich's direction is superb along with some great cinematography. He manages to capture the true essence of a small town that has been flat lining for a few generations.
