Review of The Last of the Mohicans (1992) by Still Johanna G — 07 Oct 2009
Magua was the only thing I liked about this movie- hes such a freaking bad ass. The Daniel Day-Lewis love story part I didn't really care for, it was just so damn sappy. And what was with the scene where they bone? It wasn't done too well.
But now Magua, and all his- "Magua will put the Grey Hair under the knife and eat his heart before he dies" biz was awesome. I just loved seeing this straight thug in the middle of these proper euro d-bags also seeing his bad-assery in the middle of this pathetic groveling love story (not that I have anything against love stories or chick flicks, in fact, the notebook is one of my favorite films).
I know I only rated it 40% and if it weren't for Magua itd be much lower- I cant justify more than that because he wasn't in THAT many parts and frankly I found it difficult to care about the rest of the movie.
Overall its worth a watch though.
