Review of The Last of the Mohicans (1992) by Melissa K — 09 Sep 2010
Gorgeous movie - beautiful landscapes, beautiful music. I have loved this movie for years and every time I re-watch it I am amazed that this movie is from 1992. It could have been made this year. It is timeless.
Movie is set during the French and Indian war... The movie follows a group of Mohican trackers who have decided to not pick sides in the war but decide to help out a stranded group of english people get back to their fort. Along the way they encounter the bitterness of war and what it is doing to the common people who have had no say in whether a war was fought in their country or not. There is also unlikely bonds and love sparked between some of the characters...
The movie is very well put together, the actors all superb, the story amazing and it flows well. One of the best of all time!
