Review of The Last of the Mohicans (1992) by Nick T — 19 Jan 2011
Set in 1757 amidst the England-France war over America, this was a generic and shallow love story. The politics were boring, and the British characters were annoying caricatures. All the English-speaking natives seemed inauthentic.
Madeleine Stowe was aloof, unlikeable and unengaging. Daniel Day Lewis didn't really have much material to work with.
