Review of The Last of the Mohicans (1992) by Charley D — 24 Feb 2012
I wouldn't say it was as good as others said but of one thing I can say the movie tries to take into account a time in history that most people like to forget. Anyone can make a movie about the American Revolution but it takes something else entirely to make a movie about the French and Indian War.
The onscreen emotions are well played out well and is more of a tribute to the living of the time and the relationship between hawkeye and cora munro. I was a little bit disappointed with the ending simply because it ended with a half-hearted victory.
Still with a heavenly soundtrack like that this movie deserves some great accomplishments and recieved its best picture award deservedly. Best scene is when hawkeye's step dad takes out Magua with his crazy massive tomahawk which undoubtedly may be one of the coolest Indian weapons I've seen to date.
