Review of The Last Mimzy (2007) by Yi-Shan C — 15 Feb 2009
There's something about watching kid friendly movies that makes me feel clean and happy. Perhaps in most of the kid friendly movies, the ugliness in the world is left out or limited to a certain degree. The Last Mimzy is a story of a little boy and his sister discovering weird objects from the sea that does these amazing things that cannot be explained when they start to play with them. The young actor and actress are wonderful in this film. This movie and Will Smith's latest - I Am Legend - both are about humanity and the DNA that makes us who we are and what happens when we muck with what we were given.
Loved the movie and the moral of the story. Loved it more than I Am Legend.
