Review of The Last Mimzy (2007) by Erik G — 24 Jan 2012
As what the poster for 'The Last Mimzy' says, the future is trying to tell us something. Sent by a scientist from the future, a mysterious box of toys is found by two siblings who develop special abilities that amaze everyone, including their parents and their teacher.
Now that's science fiction, and, as a symbol of a dying civilization, Mimzy is like E.T., except it's a stuffed bunny and not an alien. Plus, I do like the movie's mention of nanotechnology because it's a technological stage that humanity needs to accomplish in future times in order to survive.
I give 'The Last Mimzy' four stars.
