Blech, annoying characters who generally try to justify their own idiotic/immoral behaviour... just because you're having issues doesn't mean you should get away with whatever you feel like doing.
This is just another product of the popular trend of infedelity = 'deep thoughts' in movies and television. Good soundtrack, but other than that a waste of time.
