This film is only average. Some of the acting is great, but then some of it is terrible. I think the film would have been saved if Braff would have directed, because if you look at Goldwyn's record you see he isn't known for getting the most from his actors.
Casey Affleck, who is a superb actor, really got on my nerves with his rusty voice work. Rachel Bilson also really grinds my gears. I'm sorry, but the girl cannot act! The premise and execution are very realistic, but the production is a bit misdirected.
The Last Kiss isn't bad, it is simply very average. I will say that one arguement scene left me with a feeling of..whoa...the rest was a bit dry. Stick to the original.
