How many last kisses does the movie, in fact, have?
Zach Braff is good stuff.
Casey Affleck is good stuff.
Rachel Bilson and the man playing the father are surprise good stuff.
Movies like this feel bad. I just had an emotional heartburn of sorts the whole movie through. Maybe I'm just the kind of person who doesn't enjoy seeing every person in a film having emotional relationship problems.
But that's the best thing about The Last Kiss. It has SO many SLIGHTLY different emotional dilemmas associated with different kind of characters, each with their own ways of reaction.
I hate this kind of kinda open endings. It feels like the Oscar-winning scriptwriter just couldn't come up with a way to tie the knot on the whole thing, so he decided to take the easy way out and not deal with it.
