The film is called Birkebeinerne in Norway. There is nothing more exciting and heart stopping in viking battles than true vikings doing the fighting themselves. If the world can fall in love with Frost, Birkebeinerne will win your hearts if you can appreciate the viking bravery ,comradeship, honour and the beautiful nordic landscape with a historical tale going back to 1206.

The ski chase sequences showcased to the world why Norwegians are born with skis on their feet. Skiing was not for pleasure only but the ability to ski well decided one´s fate. But judging from the poor response from the general American viewers,, it is obvious perhaps the Scandinavia culture and history are beyond the average American IQ to appreciate the beauty of this film.
