A really good remake of Wes Craven's 1972 classic. The Last House on the left is a really good improvement over the original 1972 classic. The premise of the film is the same and this time Dennis Iliadis takes over the directing in the remake and we also have new actors and actresses in the remake.

Now the remake of the 1972 classic has some changes but there are more scares in this film than in the original Wes Craven classic and the acting is much more improved in the remake than in the original Wes Craven classic.

This remake usually has more scares and it is freaky as hell and the violence in the remake is completely over the top and the violence is gorier in the remake than in the original Wes Craven classic.

The whole movie is brutal, violent, disgusting and gory than in the original Wes Craven classic. There are lots of brutal kills in the movie and this includes the scene when the other guy gets his head dunked in a sink full of water that's covered in blood right before he gets executed in the head with a hammer, Krug gets his head blown up in an open Microwave and the scene when Mari's friend get's stabbed to death by Krug and the rest of his gangs.

The acting is way better here in the remake than in the original Wes Craven classic. Sara Paxton did a good job with her performance as Mari in the film and the rest did a good job as well. Director Dennis Iliadis has proved that he is a good director for this film he knows how to build suspense and tension for this kind of movie.

This is highly recommended for any horror fan and if they want to see a good remake they must check this out. I would give this film a 10/10 because the whole movie has more scares than in the original.

The whole movie is brutal, violent and gory than the original Wes Craven classic and the acting is much more improved in the remake than the original Wes Craven classic.
