Review of The Last House on the Left (2009) by C C B — 04 Feb 2012

Finally, a non-crappy horror movie with as much gore as necessary.. Remakes usually have the reputation of sucking compared to the original, but in this case it's vice versa, resulting in a rare, enjoyable horror flick.

. Things start quite slow in the beginning, and wrap up quite fast in the end, but this is a must see. I'd personally like to see more of a strategy behind the family's revenge, more kind of tactical fight rather than action, but a non-sense action is satisfactory.

. Anyhow it'd be better if the final duel between the family and the gang took longer. stealing from the slow beginning, just an idea.. Really good acting, good directing combined with a good script results in a really cool horror flick.

. Spoiler alert, heads up for the special ending! I loved it!! 8.5/10.
