Review of The Last House on the Left (2009) by Peter P — 31 Aug 2010
A movie that was very hard to watch for the first half, with the incredibly violent rape scene (man, I hate rape scenes, and rapists) and stabbing. The second half is a little bit better, it is more suspenseful and has better tension, but it also gets more unbelievable.
I am a father, and as this father is filled with rage, I find it pretty incomprehensible that he would wither so quickly when it comes to fighting the man that raped and almost killed his daughter. I am pretty sure if it was me, not a man on the planet could slow me down, no matter stop me.
Then we come to the final thing people see in the movie, a dramatic use of a microwave, which I am not sure is realistic but would love for myth busters to try. All in all, Last House is a film the looks ok, is acted ok and I will be happy to never see again, Word of warning if you plan of seeing this, it is not a movie for the faint of heart or squeamish.
