Review of The Last House on the Left (1972) by Sean Patrick S — 14 Mar 2009
A movie more infamous for it's shock value back in it's day than any of the real merrit to it. It shows that this was Craven's first film as the direction is haphazard, the performances all weak, and the subplot the with the cops is the kind of dribble that no one should have to deal with.
I've always seen this movie praised as some sort of exploitation classic, but sadly it's just a pile of garbage that hasn't aged well.
