Review of The Last House on the Left (1972) by Chris S — 06 Jun 2010
Despite the title, it does not come off as a cheap "William Castle"-like horror film. instead the movie turns into a vicious crime involving two young teengers. a Landmark piece in modern horror, capturing the violence and polariation of its era and turning it into the inspiration for the horror films that follow.
Compared to this, the Freddy Kruger films are harmless. Forget the dumb remake.
