Review of The Last House on the Left (1972) by David G — 01 Oct 2010
Dreadfully acted, directed and shot, practically the only good thing in the movie is the music. And that if the movie tries to be a dark comedy, which I'm not pretty sure. Intense? Never. Tense? Not a little.
The victims don't look lie they are being that, victims. It's maybe even worse than the remake and much worse than good movies from Craven like Scream and Nightmare on Elm Street. It's not even the best of the rape-revenge genre (I Spite on your Grave is far better, although not being more than decent), if it can be classified in it.
