Review of The Last House on the Left (1972) by Meg G — 04 Oct 2010
Indisputably one of the greatest horror movies of all time. It perfectly parodies the image of hippies and dopers from the 1960's, Wes Craven turns every parents nightmare about hippies and turns it into a reality.
Another great thing about this movies is that it literally touches on every taboo subject that a horror movie from the 70's could possibly dramatize, Rape, Necrophilia, Drugs, and Homosexuality. This is by far one of the most well crafted and meticulously written horror movies ever produced by Wes Craven.
