The original Last House on the Left is a fine movie from director Wes Craven. This movie is all about two girls on their way for a concert but they get kidnapped and brutally assaulted by a group of escaped convicts and they must escape before they get killed. I find this film really interesting and this movie is way better than the original Hills Have Eyes. The reason why this movie is good it's because:

1) It has a great storyline and it is really creepy.

2) The violence is solid and it is extreme a bit in some scenes.

And 3) It isn't plain lame like the original Hills have Eyes but it would have been better if there are some fast pacing climaxes because the whole movie is slow in several scenes.

This isn't Wes Craven's best movie but it isn't so bad for one reason and Wes Craven did a good job with this film than what he did in the original Hills Have Eyes. Wes Craven seriously went to the top once again with this movie so far. And it is a good movie but it's not as good as the original Nightmare on elm street and The Serpent and the Rainbow but anyways it's a great movie I would say. I would give this film a 6/10 because the whole movie has a good plot, the violence is solid and extreme in some scenes and it isn't plain lame like The original Hills Have Eyes but the movie would have been better if the acting is good and if there's a fast pacing climax throughout the movie.
