Review of The Last House on the Left (1972) by Brett H — 28 Feb 2012
The master of horror himself Wes Craven's first ever film isn't that bad infact it's great dare I say it. The story is about a group of teenage girls heading into the city for a concert to celebrate one of the girls' 17th birthday when they are trapped by a gang of recently escaped criminals who rape and beat them up and finally shoot them, When their parents find out their disappearance of their girls, they exact revenge on the crooks for killing their daughters and finally slaughter them.
Wes Craven's first ever film delivered a crude, shocking and brutal grindhouse effect that only cult fans of this category will love and it's much as I can say for it's remake. The Last House on the Left gets a 9.
7/10.
