Review of The Last House on the Left (1972) by Melissa S — 16 Apr 2012
Very slow start, the "disturbing" scenes dragged, and the vengeance was too quickly done. As if it was thrown in because someone wanted a happy ending. Yes, a lot of movies in the 70s were long, but the predictability seemed to make it even slower.
I'm not even sure of what genre this movie fits under. Scary? Horror? Thriller? The movie was disturbing, but it didn't really fit any of those genres. How about drama? That seems a bit better, but not really.
