It may be too bleak and harsh for some, but The Last House on the Left makes up for its shortcomings with a very deep and thought provoking message on violence and human nature as well as great performances by Sandra Cassel, Lucy Grantham and David Hess who plays the despicable infamous Krug.
Just remember for those with weak stomachs just remember "It's only a movie, only a movie, only a movie...".
