Review of The Last House on the Left (1972) by Emma F — 12 Jun 2009
With the release of the remake I decided that this would be a good movie to check out and as a horror movie I think it is great! Builds up the tension well and has enough blood and gore to shock you. The comedy scenes with the two policemen are actually quite funny and in my opinion are good for the film.
With the sickening realism, no holds barred style of the gore and violence the comedy interludes make you remember that it is only a movie and supposed to be scary and entertaining. And on both counts, it suceeds.
