Review of The Last House on the Left (1972) by David S — 27 Jan 2010
A little childish, often strangely attempting to mix bad humor with the macabre and violence of the film, but Wes Craven's directorial debut is oddly saved just ever-so-slightly by the vengeful parents of the massacred girl of the movie.
It's horrifically violent, sometimes even hard to watch, but vengefully satisfying by the end. Cheesy, yes. Low budget, absolutely. But watchable, eh, yeah sure, why not. RIP WC.
