Review of The Last Exorcism Part II (2013) by Zandra E — 06 Jun 2013
Well the first one was awful to start with and although this loses the shackles of being a handheld documentary it just turns out to be a unfortunate chain of dreary and not at all tense events.
Ashely Bell returns as Nell, fresh from her ordeal in the woods with no memory of the events she had suffered. Bell is the only redeeming feature to these movies as she does offer a good projection of a messed up small town girl with haunting secrets. This however is not matched by any sort of work going into a plot, script or support actors. The film mainly runs some sequences of mundane sightings and body levitations. This is a particularly short reviews as the film clocks in at ninety minutes(just) and very little happens and then it just closes with a huge anti-climax disappointingly leaving it open to being stretched into more installments. If the are more to come I would suggest losing the word LAST from the title, maybe change it to next.
