Review of The Last Exorcism Part II (2013) by Alisson P — 28 Apr 2013
I had hope for this that it was possible that it could be better then the first. It succeeded my expectation. It is not a great movie, but it is to my surprise a mediocore movie. The beggining is my favorite part it is actually scary. It starts with the recapture of the tolerable parts of the first then the thank God its not found footage parts begin.
The middle of the film does slow the speed of the film down a little but even then its pretty good it shows Nell trying to be normal while seeing premintions of her dead father and a creeping person in a creepy Mardi gras mask. While the film takes place in New Orleans they take a good shot at using the environment to the story. The ending did disappoint me a bit. I thought that it would be an epic confrontation. It wasn't but it wad pretty cool. I thought that the acting really shined especially from ashelu bell who looks like Judy Garlend.
To sum this up it has small scares, great performances, weak middle, strong beggining and end. Yet unoriginal and sort of predictable. Still better then "Mama." Which made me happy. I'm giving this movie a decent review because it was a bit better then my original expectation.
SCORE: 6 out of 10.
