Review of The Last Exorcism Part II (2013) by Gavin M — 09 Oct 2013

Lacklustre sequel that sadly doesn't capture any of the wit, tension or intrigue of the original (excellent and underrated, check it out if you haven't seen it). Part II is just poorly written and seems to have very little direction of where the story is trying to go (disappointing considering Eli Roth's involvement once again as producer).

2 stars is probably even a bit generous but they're for Ashley Bell, who does her best with the script and puts in a great performance again as Nell. If Part III does happen, hopefully a better director/writers come on board to freshen things up, and maybe even return to the hand-held style that worked so effectively in the first Last Exorcism.
