Review of The Last Exorcism (2010) by Peter K — 13 Jun 2011
Very entertaining, suspenseful, intriguing, had a Twilight Zone feel. Actually the movie was not original. And if the movie had original scenes, they were not originally original. haha. Yeah, haunted stuff in Louisiana and exorcisms on girls.
I never saw that before. See Skeleton Key, the Exorcism of Emily Rose, and the Exorcist. There were logical flaws in the characters' actions ie how do you return to a house with crazies running about knowing that you have no obligation to do so as opposed to just calling the police and letting the authorities handle it? The camera shots seemed rather fake at times and often should not have even been allowed to be taken.
The movie deals with this paradigm of shooting the movie or not. However, it forgets that the father wanted the camera off and yet the father doesn't repeatedly have the camera go off even as the film is being obviously shot.
