Review of The Last Exorcism (2010) by Paul C — 04 Mar 2012
So so so close to that decent exoricism movie and it would have made it if it wasnt for the farsical ending. The film is directed from behind a hand held camera and has a feel of the brilliant Paranormal Activity movies.
The story follows a con man reverend who has performed hundreds of fake exorcisms to those believed they were actually possessed. A film crew follows him on his last exorcism where he shows the crew all his cons and tricks for putting on a show. However his last exorcism of a innocent girl could actually be the real thing!!! It leaves you guessing throughout as whether the girl is possessed or a victim of abuse. Plenty of scares and jumps along the way the unknown cast in particular Patrick Fabian putting in a first class performance. The ending to this cracking film is criminal and so so so disappointing.
